Police seize gun during traffic stop

This weekend, Southborough police made an arrest that included seizing a loaded gun. The incident apparently took place without violence, as part of a traffic stop.

The SPD shared the news on Facebook yesterday:

Southborough Officers Seize Gun During Traffic Stop Last Night:
Southborough Officers confiscated an illegal firearm on Turnpike Road in Southborough last night. At approximately 11:44 pm, on Saturday, November 5, 2016, Officers arrested [a Framingham man] and charged him with the Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. The loaded firearm was located during a traffic stop on Turnpike Road (Route 9 Eastbound). Reyes was also cited for Operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle on a public way. Bail was set at $5040, due to Mr. Reyes having open distribution cases at the time of his arrest.
