It’s not even Thanksgiving, but three traditional pre-holiday sales take place in Southborough this Saturday, November 19th.

You can take advantage of these sales to buy your Thanksgiving desserts, accessories for upcoming parties, knit hats/scarves to keep warm this winter, and holiday decorations. Plus, do a little early Christmas shopping.

[Editor’s Note: If you were waiting to shop for baked goodies at Assabet’s annual event, don’t. The school won’t be holding it this year. So make the most of other options below!]

The First Community Church of Southborough annual Pie Sale will be held from 8:00 a.m. to about noon outside of Mauro’s Village Cafe downtown.

They will be selling a large selection of pies, breads, and other homemade baked goods available just in time for Thanksgiving.

Local artisans are holding their annual craft show, Holiday Gifts on the Common from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm at the Community House, 28 Main Street

Booths and tables will exhibit handcrafted wares for sale, including: unique handmade gifts, baskets, jewelry, pottery, quilts and more. And unlike big craft shows, entrance is free!

For details, see dedicated post.

The Friends of the Council of the aging are holding their annual Senior Center Autumn Fair from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm at 9 Cordaville Road

Stop by and enjoy refreshments, browse unique table offerings and participate in their large raffle of local restaurants, goods and services. Goods on sale include hand knitted items, jewelry, and small attic “treasures”.

They will also be selling apple pies and pumpkin pies. And lunch will be for sale.

All proceeds from the annual fundraiser benefit the Friends of the Council on Aging. The funds help them schedule innovative programs at the Senior Center.
