    Culinary Demos for Seniors: Single Cook (12:30 – 1:30 pm) @ The Southborough Senior Center: This session, learn some great techniques and recipes for cooking solo.   • Neary & Trottier Early Dismissal (11:20 am) Early dismissal for public grades 4-8 to allow for parent-teacher conferences
  • Woodward’s Family Fun Night (5:30 – 7:30 pm) @ Woodward School: Woodward SOS fundraiser featuring pizza, ice cream sundaes, the annual basket raffle, and sessions of gym games. Also includes a Scholastic Book Sale. SOS pledges that all proceeds go directly back to students. See flyer right for details.

  • Electronics & appliance recycling (T-Hawks fundraiser) (8:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School, parking lot, 79 Bartlett St, Northborough: T-Hawks Girls Ice Hockey will host the special recycling event. For a fee, the girls will accept items ranging from remote controls to water heaters. (No hazardous waste.) Funds will support the team.   • First Community Church Pie (and more) Sale (8:00 am) @ outside Mauro’s Village Cafe, downtown Main St: The church is holding it’s annual pre-Thanksgiving fundraiser. They will be selling a large selection of pies, breads, and other homemade baked goods. The sale will run until about noon (but may end earlier if they sell out sooner)
  • Senior Center Autumn Fair (9:00 am – 1:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center, 9 Cordaville Road: Fundraiser for Friends of the Council on Aging. Stop by and enjoy refreshments, browse our unique table offerings and participate in our large raffle of local restaurants, goods and services. For sale, apple pies and other baked goods.   • Holiday Gifts on the Common (9:00 am – 3:00 pm) @ Community House, 28 Main Street: Booths and tables of local artisans selling their handcrafted wares: handmade gifts, baskets, jewelry, pottery, quilts and more. (Entrance to the Community House is free). For details, see dedicated post.
  • 8th annual Dodgeball Tournament (9:00 am – 6:30 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School Gym, 79 Bartlett St, Northborough: Co-Ed Dodgeball competition for Grades 1-8. Fundraiser organized by Algonquin Regional High School Boys Ice Hockey Team. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Saturdays at Fay – The Awesome Pirate Show (10:00 am – 11:00 am) @ Fay School’s Primary School, 23 Middle Road: Free event series for young children, this month features Captain Robbie Bones and his treasure chest full of magic tricks and juggling apparatus. Registration is required.   • Heritage Chorale Fall Concert (4:00 pm) @ St. Mark’s School, Putnam Family Arts Center, 25 Marlboro Rd: The choral group will perform “Folksongs, Carols, and Lullabies.” For details, see dedicated post.
  • Interfaith Thanksgiving Potluck and Service (5:30 pm) @ St. Mark’s Episcopal Church: Join Southborough Neighbors for Peace and The United Parishes of Southborough for an Interfaith Thanksgiving Potluck and Service. Bring a dish to share and get to know your neighbors! (Turkey will be provided.) At 7 pm, an Interfaith Thanksgiving Service will begin. For details, see dedicated post.

Updated (11/14/17 1:05 pm): I accidentally listed the wrong end time for Woodward’s Family Fun Night. It’s scheduled to end at 7:30 pm.
