Bay Circuit rambling – Seniors invited to hike with the Trailblazers – Dec 7th

Above: Last month, the Trailblazers led active seniors on a hike along the Bay Circuit Trail. They’ve issued an invitation to ramble another section of the trail next week.

The Southborough Senior Center’s Trailblazers are holding their third “Bay Circuit Ramblers Trail Walk” next week.

The hike for active seniors will cover a section of the trail from the Framingham border to the Tipling Rock Trailhead in Sudbury:

The trail connecting these two points is two miles of woodland trail so appropriate clothing and footwear is recommended.

The center’s newsletter warns that it is a 1 hour walk on uneven terrain. The Trailblazer’s Facebook page specifies it as a 2.6 mile hike.

The event takes place on Thursday, December 7th at 1:00 pm. To join the group, hikers should park at the end point of the walk and car pool to the starting point.

Leaves are falling all around
It’s time I was on my way
Thanks to you I’m much obliged
For such a pleasant stay
But now it’s time for me to go
The autumn moon lights my way
For now I smell the rain
And with it pain
And it’s headed my way
Ah, sometimes I grow so tired
But I know I’ve got one thing I got to do
Ramble on
And now’s the time, the time is now
To sing my song
I’m goin’ ’round the world, I got to find my girl
On my way
I’ve been this way ten years to the day
Ramble on
Gotta find the queen of all my dreams
Got no time for spreadin’ roots
The time has come to be gone
And thoough our health we drank a thousand times
It’s time to ramble on

Carl Guyer’s pick this month of a section of the Bay Circuit Trail brought us to a high outcropping in Sudbury. We had a birdseye view of a wide stretch of country extending to Boston.
