Here are highlights of what’s happening around town this week.

[Note: The highlights don’t include ongoing weekly programs. For those listings and more, check the Event Calendar.]

Monday, February 12, 2018:

  • Band-o-rama (7:00 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School Gym: ARHS and Northborough elementary school bands from grades 5+ will perform. Free tickets were issued to families with participating band students. For details, see dedicated post.

Tuesday, February 13, 2018:

  • Adult Coloring (1:00 pm) @ Senior Center: Enjoy a stress free activity that relaxes the brain and allows your mind to get the rest it needs. Adult Coloring Books and all supplies will be provided by the senior center.

Thursday, February 15, 2018:

  • Assabet Science Fair (11:00 – 12:00 pm) @ Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School Auditorium, 215 Fitchburg St, Marlborough: Upperclassmen in biotechnology participate in student-driven projects that are presented in a shop-wide science fair. This hour window is open to the public. (Projects may go on to compete at the regional and state science fairs.) For more information, contact Mrs. Stencel (kstencel@assabet.org) or Mrs. Bennes (mbennes@assabet.org).
  • Trottier’s Polar Plunge (2:25 – 3:50 pm): Trottier students and staff will “plunge” into an inflated pool of icy water to raise funds for the Special Olympics. The posted deadline for signing up has passed, but it’s not too late to support jumpers through pledged donations or rooting them on. For details, see dedicated post.
