Back to school dates: Upcoming orientations, school-specific Half days, Holidays, and more (Updated-again)

You’ll also want to note the the No School and Early Dismissal dates this year. Five of them aren’t on the district calendar:

  • Monday, 9/3, No School – Labor Day

  • Monday, 4/15, – Friday, 4/19, No School – Spring Break
  • Monday, 5/27, No School – Memorial Day

If all goes well the last day of school will be Friday, June 14th? But when does that ever happen. More likely, school will end sometime the following week. (Though, if there are enough cancellations, it can go as late Friday, June 28th.)

Updated (8/15/18 9:22 am): I was fixing a few typos and noticed an error for the Martin Luther King, Jr Day holiday. It is just one day – not two as originally listed. I also fixed a reference to four days not listed on the district calendar. There are five early dismissals not included on it (specific to Southborough elementary and/or middle schools.)

Updated (8/15/18 4:22 pm): Based on comments, I just realized that my list also incorrectly showed Tuesday, 9/4 as a no school day. (Unfortunately, a download of one day holidays incorrectly listed some of them as two days. I thought I caught them all before posting. Sorry!)

Thanks for posting this information. The district schedule is fairly different compared to last year. The Monday after thanksgiving is a school day, hurrah! Hopefully Tuesday September 4 isn’t a day off… I don’t think it is from the sites I looked at. Can you confirm? Thanks!

Beth: Monday, 9/3, – Tuesday, 9/4, No School – Labor Day. Is this correct?

For those who are not aware, the schools have an iCal feed so you can link the school calendars to your google calendar (works for ios, Outlook, etc. as well!) Very handy so you don’t have to manually input all the dates.

Check out the school’s online calendar for details…
