Free Yoga classes through Southborough Rec

Looking for a way to de-stress? Try the free virtual yoga classes being offered on Thursday evenings.

This spring, Southborough Recreation planned to offer a six week yoga class at the Southborough Senior Center. Obviously, the gatherings aren’t happening. But it appears that thanks to zoom, the class still is. And now, it’s being offered for free.

I missed the notice that went out for classes that began on April 9th. The good news is that you can still take advantage of the last four sessions.

FREE YOGA AT HOME
Stretch, de-stress and invite deep peace. This class, open to all levels of experience and ability, includes breath work, posture sequences to build strength and cultivate balance and concentration. Class ends with guided relaxation. Led by Malu Doherty and Mary Starr Green, who are both seasoned instructors and faculty assistants for health, movement and creativity programs at Kripalu (Stockbridge MA).

This program is FREE for all who are interested. Classes will be held through ZOOM video conferencing. ZOOM class information will be sent prior to the class to anyone who is registered throughout the session.

Classes are taking place on Thursdays from 5:15 – 6:15 pm. They run through May 21st, except for the evening of April 30th.

To register, click here.

Updated (6/2/20 8:55 am): The program was extended for another session through June 18th.

It’s wonderful that the Senior Center is offering this. I used to take classes with Mary Starr Green at Earthsong Yoga in Marlborough. She is terrific!
