This August, Algonquin Girls Volleyball team will hold another summer clinic. This camp is run and taught by players (under supervision of coaching staff).

It will be held from 9:00 am – noon, August 16th – 19th in the school’s gym. Under the supervision of coaching staff, ARHS varsity players will:

introduce girls 5th-9th Grade, of all skill levels, to the competitive sport of volleyball. Through this clinic athletes will learn skills, positions, strategy, and teamwork all while having fun, working closely with the Algonquin Volleyball Team and meeting other athletes interested in this sport. . .

No special equipment is needed but we do recommend a court type sneaker.

ARHS Volley Ball All Skill Clinic flyerThe morning camp for will cost $125 per player with a $50 discount per sibling. The payment covers all clinic fees and a T-shirt. Proceeds will benefit the ARHS Volleyball Boosters Club. (And, of course, the Boosters will help support the team’s needs.)

Worried that the state’s safety guidelines may change? The website reassures:

As with everything these days, the camp will only be held if the current state of the pandemic remains trending towards a positive. We will follow all guidelines and if we have to cancel all money will be refunded

The deadline to register is July 27th, but don’t wait. Organizers clarify that registration is limited and filled on a first come, first serve basis. (Although, if it isn’t full by the deadline, they also note they may take late registrants. But those participants can’t be promised to receive a T-shirt.)

For details, visit the website. You can register there online.
