Southborough native Storm Large cleared her second big hurdle on America’s Got Talent. Unfortunately, she didn’t make the third. On the upside, a whole lot more of America got a chance to see her talent.

The singer won the talent competition’s Wildcard Vote this month. That allowed her to perform on the NBC broadcast Tuesday night. Viewers had until yesterday morning* to cast votes on who makes the cut for the Semi-Finals. Last night, a live results show revealed that she wasn’t among the seven acts that were moving on.

According to media reports, the celebrity judging panel wasn’t thrilled with Large this week. Simon Cowell is the most often quoted as being disappointed. Overall, it sounds like most voiced that she made the wrong choice for showcasing her talent, compared to her standout audition. (But it also sounds like there was criticism of a lot of the night’s acts this week.)

GoldDerby covered last night’s “results show” drama. Apparently, they made her sweat it out for a while before the ultimate let down. Large didn’t make the top 5 acts to automatically go on. She was one of three acts that had the opportunity for a “live save” by voters watching last night. She didn’t get the votes needed. Judges then made there own save, which went to another contestant.

You can read more about Large’s reception on Tuesday in Yahoo Entertainment’s article. She was also featured in a USA Today story that gives more context on the other performers that night.
