The Southborough Trails Committee is inviting the community to join them for a special hike this Saturday. Participants will get a “sneak peek” of a soon to be opened “Peninsula Trail” section of the Aqueduct Trail. That section has been the missing link in Southborough’s piece of the Boroughs Loop Trail.

The hike will be led by Mass DCR Ranger, Lt. Andy Leahy. He’ll “share his wealth of knowledge about the reservoir and property near Fayville Dam.” Participants will learn about the history of the property and the reservoir.

The trail overlaps an existing access path, has a hard-packed surface, and is roughly ~10’ wide and is suitable for all ages.

The event is free, but registration is requested. To learn more and sign up, click here.

Updated (9/21/21 8:29 am): STC’s Chair clarified that the photo is of a paved section of the trail about .5 miles long (so 1 mile of the 3 mile round trip).
