  • The Savvy Consumer (12:00 – 1:00 pm) @ Southborough Library Lawn, Outside Tent: Speak with a Community Bank Officer, about ways to flex your financial decisions, connect with helpful resources, review Consumer Reports online and talk with peers (Adults & Teens) as part of a community conversation!   • breathing 101 flyerWellness Series: Breathing 101 (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ zoom: The free Wellness Series workshop is offered through a partnership between the Southborough Library and Jill Vroman Fitness & Wellness. Learn how to breath for more energy and mental clarity. (See flyer right for details). The session is available to ages 12+, but pre-registration is required by emailing: rdonovan@cwmars.org.

  • Book Bugs: Farm Fun for Little Ones (10:00 – 11:00 am) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: Pre-registration (and fee) required. For ages 2 to 6 years old, adult supervision required (siblings under 1 yr old can attend for free). Bring your little bug. . . to the farm for an interactive children’s story time. We’ll read a farm story, make a craft, and explore the farm! Each day will have a different theme. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Senior Songsters (11:00 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: Weekly rehearsal for the singing group open to all area seniors regardless of singing ability. For details, see dedicated post.

Bring questions about ebooks and electronic resources. This is a drop in event; no registrations necessary. Sessions are limited to no more than 1 hour.

  • Outdoor Preschool Story Time (10:30 – 11:15 am) @ Southborough Library’s back lawn: Join Miss Amy on the lawn (weather permitting) for stories and craft based on a weekly theme. Please bring a blanket or chair. No registration required.
  • Afternoon Adventures (3:30 – 5:30 pm) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: Pre-registration (and fee) required. For ages 8 years old to adult. This after school, experiential program will be curriculum-driven, but so much fun that students will hardly realize they are learning. All activities will connect to the farm, outdoor space, and ecosystems. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Food Truck Festival (3:30 – 6:30 pm) @ St. Mark’s meadow (corner of Rte 85 and Rte 30): A community event series organized by the Southborough Rotary Club this fall. This final session features trucks from: Anzio Pizza, Pangea Cuisine, Bird’s Nest and Trombetta’s Farm Ice Cream. For details, see dedicated posts.
  • Mini Book Sale (3:30 – 6:30 pm) @ Southborough Library front lawn: The Friends of the Southborough Library will be selling a selection of fiction and non-fiction books for all ages. (One free book per child.)
  • ARHS College Fair (6:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School gym: Algonquin will be hosting representatives from colleges for their Post Secondary College Fair. All students and parents are welcome, but must follow Covid protocols. [Note: There are specific restrictions for attendance this year. Students and parents should check their emails from the school.]

  • Fall Fun on the Farm (12:00 – 4:30 pm in 90 minute windows) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: Enjoy a classic New England fall day featuring apple cider, hayrides, a climbing haystack, live music, scenic walking trails, a Storywalk, and a visit to see the goats, chickens and sheep.   • Pumpkin Stroll (TBA) @ Old Burial Grounds: Southborough Rotary Club’s annual pre-Heritage Day celebration. The community is invited to view jack-o-lanterns carved and decorated by the public. (Stay tuned for this year’s details.)

Monday, October 11, 2021 – Heritage Day

  • Golf for ALS ONE @ Southborough Golf Club: The Town and golf course’s 3rd annual fundraiser to support ALS research and care. A portion of greens fees will be dedicated to charity throughout Heritage Day weekend. Tee time must be reserved in advance. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Heritage Day Parade (steps off at 10:00 am): Led by public safety vehicles, community officials and organizations march from St. Anne’s church (on Boston Road) down Main Street, past the field festivities. Click here for details.
  • Heritage Day (10:00 am – 3:00 pm): St. Mark’s Field (corner of Rte 30 & 85): Food trucks, and booths with Artisans, crafters, fundraising efforts and more.
  • Knights of Columbus Soccer Challenge (10:00 am – 1:00 pm): St. Mark’s Field: Free soccer penalty kick competition for ages 6-16. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Book Sale (10:00 am – 3:00 pm) @ Southborough Library parking lot: The annual Friends of the Southborough Library fundraiser. Selling a slew of fiction and non-fiction books for all ages.  (One free book per child.)
