The Great Pumpkin Chuck – Saturday

If you haven’t tossed out your jack-o-lanterns, hold on to them for a few more days. The Trustees of Reservations is offering you a chance to really chuck ’em.

Chestnut Hill Farm is hosting “The Great Pumpkin Chuck” this Saturday, November 6th. Pre-registration is required, but attendance is free to all TTOR members. (For non-members, the cost is $5 per child and $10 per adult.)

We encourage you and your family to explore Chestnut Hill Farm’s trails and seasonally appropriate StoryWalk. Before or after your trail walk, gather at the farm’s trebuchet (catapult), to watch the farm’s staff launch your old pumpkins! Children will get a kick out of watching their old jack-o-lanterns fly through the air and smash to the ground to become compost. Whose pumpkin will fly the farthest? It’s always fun to see! We will have apple cider (hot & cold) for sale onsite!

Please be sure to bring your own pumpkins to this event!

The event runs from 11:00 am – 3:30 pm in 90 minute windows. For more details, or to sign up, click here.
