Friends of Rec Thanks Gobble Wobble Sponsors

On Thanksgiving morning, over 760 official runners and walkers participated in the 15th Annual Gobble Wobble. First place in the 5K was awarded to Grant Gattuso (M) and Kathryn McCarthy (F). (You can find the full results here.)

The Friends of Southborough Recreation asked me to share their public thank you to those who made the 2021 Thanksgiving Day Gobble Wobble possible:

The event was held in person this year after a virtual race last year and was a rousing success. The event brought 913 registered runners and walkers to the streets of Southborough to Wobble before they Gobble. As they crossed the starting line in their fluorescent pink shirts, the excitement of being back in person was evident. We are so thankful to the sponsors that made this event a huge success:

All profits from the race, the only fundraiser held by the Friends of Southborough Recreation, will support Recreation programs through scholarships, capital projects and special events. In addition, we want to thank all the volunteers who also help make this event a success. From registration, pre-registration pick-up, babysitting and food table volunteers, as well as the Southborough CERT Team and the Southborough Police Detail officers it truly takes a village. One last thank you goes out to the Southborough Recreation Department for their all their help and support, from start to finish. The Friends of Southborough Recreation could not do this without all of you!
