  • More Than Just The Buzz! (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ St. Mark’s School, Taft Hall: The public is invited to a presentation on restoring habitats friendly to “at risk” native pollinators and simple ways to help. The presentation by Dr. Robert J. Gegear from UMASS Dartmouth is sponsored by the Open Space Preservation Commission and Southborough Rotary. It will include information on how Southborough and other communities in Massachusetts have used his research-based native plant list to support imperiled native plant-pollinator systems.   • Noise Bylaw Forum (7:30 pm) @ zoom: The committee charged with drafting a proposed Noise Bylaw for Southborough is seeking public input as part of the process. To share your opinions on noise issues and potential regulations, participate in their public hearing this week. (Click here for the agenda.)

  • Fill a Cruiser (1:00 – 5:00 pm) @ in front of the Public Safety Building, 32 Cordaville Rd: The Southborough Police Department will be collecting non-perishable food items (and other items) for the Southborough Food Pantry to support community members in need.   • Read to a Dog (11:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Southborough Library Lawn: Children preferably ages 5 and up with some reading ability will read to a certified therapy dog. Please register in the Children’s Room for a 15 min slot.

  • AVM Messiah Sing (3:30 pm) @ First Church, Marlborough: Assabet Valley Mastersingers regional chorus (including Southborough members) will perform the Christmas portion of Handel’s oratorio and the “Hallelujah Chorus” with audience participation and organ accompaniment. Masks are required with social distancing by attendee unit.
