Southborough resident Doc D’Errico sent in these photos of his fabulously festive home on Banfill Lane. I suspect the photos don’t even do it justice, so I have a drive-by planned for the near future.

The reservoir in Southborough attracts its share of photographers, and luckily for us, some of those photographers share their work on flickr. Case in point, these lovely images by Deborah Ebbeling of Marlborough.

Looks like she took them off White Bagley Road. Looking at the shots, it’s hard to believe there’s a bustling Route 9 just

A different kind of fall color

November 6, 2009 02:11:14 PM

I went to Tower Hill Botanic Garden last weekend and was surprised by how much color there was. I’m not talking about the usual yellows and reds and oranges we see this time of year, but rather bright pinks and purples. A number of flowers were still in bloom. In November. In New England. I

October 29, 2009 04:15:24 PM

Earlier this week I went to the Breakneck Hill Conservation Land to visit the cows. And what friendly cows they are! Many came right over to the fence to say hello. Lucky for me, they’re not camera shy either.

Southborough wildlife: Waterfowl edition

October 27, 2009 04:01:44 PM

I was taking shots of this swan cruising the reservoir off Parkerville Road:

When this guy popped out of the brush:

A heron, I think? He didn’t stick around long:

Meanwhile, across the road, a gaggle of geese was loitering on someone’s lawn:
