Southboro Medical Group has partnered with Marlborough Hospital — part of the UMass Memorial system — to offer its patients a selection of specialty services even closer to home.

On Saturday the Drug Enforcement Agency will hold its first ever national prescription drug take-back day. The program provides a safe way for you to dispose of the expired or no-longer-needed prescription drugs that are cluttering up your medicine cabinet.

Sandy Ellis, a nurse with the Massachusetts Nurses Association, has set up a meeting with State Representative Carolyn Dykema — who counts in her district Southborough Precincts 2 and 3 — to talk health care, and she’s looking for some Southborough residents to join her.

The Biggest Loser program sponsored by the Northborough and Southborough Rotary Clubs may only be a week old, but it’s already having an impact. The Northboro News reports participants have already lost about 500 pounds.

The Rotary Clubs of Northborough and Southborough are sponsoring a Biggest Loser style weight loss program to help residents stick to their resolutions this year. The first meeting of the twelve-week program is on Wednesday.
