Selectmen deny increased police overtime request

Police Chief Jane Moran asked selectmen for an increase of about $90K to the department’s overtime budget for fiscal year 2013, saying she ran the numbers and determined that’s what the department will need to operate safely next year. I couldn’t attend the Board of Selectmen meeting on Monday night (and it sadly was not broadcast live), but the Metrowest Daily News was there and reports selectmen decided to defer their vote on whether to support the school budgets this year.
