More Yoga on the Trails

The Southborough Trails Committee is continuing to offer outdoor yoga to adults this summer and through early fall. The free sessions are for adults only.

All of the sessions take place on Saturday mornings from 9:00 – 10:00 am near the Sudbury Reservoir Trail. The community is invited to “Reconnect. Recenter. Refresh.”

Start your morning with a relaxing yoga flow, and the beautiful Southborough landscape this spring- with Yoga on the Trails. Our practice will draw inspiration from our surroundings in nature, and incorporate synchronization of breath and mindful movement. We’ll explore postures to build strength, balance, stability and to find peace within our morning.

Yoga on trails location (from event page)The setting is the field near the reservoir, by a trail off Parkerville Road. (Be warned, there are no bathroom facilities.)

Participants are asked to bring a yoga mat, a towel to lay down on the ground, and a water bottle.

If the event needs to be rescheduled due to the weather, registered participants will receive an email the day prior.

The Trials Committee’s page includes a bio for the instructor, Emma Bartolini:

Emma Bartolini is a CYT 200 HR Yoga Teacher, specializing in Gentle Vinyasa Flow, Restorative Yoga and Chair Yoga and Children’s Certified Kidding Around Yoga Instructor. She has a strong connection to movement arts, and invites her students to find their flow, their breath and their place on their mats in an authentic way. She teaches classes ranging from bigs and littles classes for grownups and their little yogis, to kids only classes, adults classes and classes for anyone with limited mobility. She is especially fond of practicing yoga outdoors, surrounded by nature.

She is an artist, dancer, and yoga teacher, with a special affinity for all things botanical. Emma’s classes draw upon her background and incorporate many layers of performing arts, movement, and visual arts that help children connect to yoga by introducing essential tools for self-confidence, strength, and mind and body calm.
