Sustainable Gardening — April 4th

The Southborough Library is bringing back Blackstone Valley Veggie Gardens for another gardening workshop a week from Saturday. This time the focus is on “how to garden sustainably”.

3+ yr olds can sign up to be paired with teens as “Reading Buddies”

The Southborough Library is promoting the next session of a series for “readers in training”. The program partner kids with teen “Buddies” for six weeks, to encourage reading. There will be a Select Board race. Plus, there will be an unopposed changing of the guard for a few positions.

Virtual Author Talks through April
This week & next month, Southborough Library patrons can join zoom author talks for children, teens, and adults.

The Southborough Library is continuing to offer the virtual author talk series. Most are targeted to adults, but a talk this Thursday evening is geared to kids in grades K–3, and one next month features a young adult author. Read the full article → from Virtual Author Talks through April
“Seed Art & Mosaics” and the return of the Youth Nature Club
This season's first meeting of the "club" of 6th - 12th grade volunteers interested in exploring nature will feature a creative craft.

Middle schoolers can support nature through TLT volunteer events
The Library and DCR are teaming up and offering two volunteer opportunities for environmentally minded 6–8th graders.

Two of the upcoming workshops are special “TLT” (Teen Library Team) events that ask 6–8th graders to lend a hand in supporting the environment. Preschoolers are invited to celebrate the the birthday of one of the library's favorite therapy dogs.
