With less than 18 months until the Town kicks off celebrating it’s 300th anniversary, the Tricentennial Committee is continuing to raise funds for the “Once-in-a-Lifetime Celebration”.
The committee’s latest newsletter promotes a range of sponsorship opportunities (and calls for volunteers to help with fundraising efforts).
Fundraising Call
The August newsletter pitches:
From Vision to Celebration:
Fueling a Once-in-a-Lifetime CelebrationAs we prepare to honor Southborough’s remarkable 300-year legacy, the Friends of Southborough 300, Inc. is hard at work to ensure that the Tricentennial Celebration in 2027 is truly inclusive—offering a year of signature events that welcome and engage every resident in our community.
Our fundraising goal reflects the scale and ambition of this once-in-a-lifetime milestone:
- Event Production & Programming: $350,000
- (Parade, Drone Show, House Tour, Music Festival, Re-enactments)
- Public Safety & Logistics: $50,000
- Marketing, Promotion & Coordination: $25,000
- Legacy Projects & Installations: $25,000
- Total Fundraising Goal: $450,000
To meet this goal, we are excited to announce sponsorship opportunities at every level:
- Southborough 300 Elite Circle Sponsor – $100,000
- Southborough 300 Pinnacle Sponsor – $50,000
- Southborough 300 Founders Sponsor – $25,000
- Southborough 300 Community Champion Sponsor – $10,000
- Southborough 300 Supporter Sponsor – $5,000
- Friend of Southborough 300 – $1,000
Sponsorships made before the end of 2025 at $10,000 or more can be spread over three years. All donations are tax deductible to the extent that the law permits. These sponsorships will help us deliver a yearlong series of unforgettable experiences while ensuring that every resident can participate fully—regardless of cost.
We are proud to share that we have already:
- Identified several major sponsorship prospects
- Researched and tailored proposals to meet individual corporate giving requirements
- Initiated conversations with key organizations and are homing in on at least three Elite Circle Sponsors to anchor our campaign.
We have received two Community Champion Sponsorships at the $10,000 level, one from The Southborough Community Fund and one from local realtor, Ginny Martins & Associates. We are grateful for their support. This strong start puts us well on the path toward our goal and sets the stage for a vibrant, inclusive Tricentennial year. If you or your business would like to learn more about sponsorship opportunities, please contact us at Southborough300@southboroughma.com.
