Maryam “Mary” Armajani-Peters, 70, passed away following complications from ovarian cancer on August 21, 2025. She leaves her loving son Tyler Peters, his wife Deirdre, and their children Carson and Tristan. She also leaves her loving siblings, her sister Cathy Armajani and partner Woody Woodruff, and her brother Rameen Armajani and his wife Leslie Abrons. She was predeceased by her brother Sohrab Armajani and her husband, Paul Peters. In addition, she will be greatly missed by her aunt and uncle, cousins, nephews, niece and many dear friends.
Mary was born in Minneapolis, MN, daughter of the late Janet (Padmore) and Manucher Armajani. Though her roots were in Minnesota, she relocated to the Northeast when her son Tyler was very young and settled in New Hampshire and eventually Southborough, MA. Mary worked as a Global Director of Human Resources, predominantly at IPG Photonics among other major corporations.
If you knew Mary, you’ll remember her as a bright and warm soul that always put family first. Moving to the Northeast afforded her more time with her adoring grandchildren that meant the world to her. Close to home you also were likely to find her tending her gardens and making plans to travel the world with her family. You may even have found her rocking out to Prince and Eminem.
Please remember Mary with a donation to The Dana Farber Cancer Institute at http://www.Dana-Farber.org. A Book of Memories to share a special message with Mary’s family is available online at: www.RoneyFuneralHome.com
