  • Southborough Safe Spaces – Youth Meeting (7:00 – 9:00 pm): Event for grades 6-12 hosted by Southborough Safe Spaces for LBGTQ+ youth of all faiths and their allies. Tonight, they’ll enjoy a a movie night & pajama party. For details, click here.
  • Live Music with the Jeff Thomas Experience (8:00 pm) @ Owen O’Leary’s, 50 Turnpike Rd: Jeff Thomas and Mario will perform classic rock. For details, click here.

  • Yoga on the Trails (9:00 am) @ Sudbury Reservoir Trail: This free event for adults is put on by Southborough Trails Committee for National Parks & Recreation Month. Registration is required. For details, see related post.
  • Read to a Dog (10:30 am – 12:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Children’s Room: Register for kids ages 5+ to get a chance to read to a therapy dog. For details, see related post.
  • Car Wash – ARHS Cheer Fundraiser (10:30 am – 1:00 pm) @ DPW parking lot, 147 Cordaville Rd (off the Transfer Station driveway): Algonquin’s Cheer squad is holding a car wash to raise funds for the team.
  • Good to Go for SOLF (5:00 – 7:00 pm) @ Beals Preserve: Pre-registration is required for this limited space event. Enjoy catered snacks and a drink while supporting Southborough Open Land Foundation. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Playground Open House (10:30 am – 12:00 pm) @ Finn School Playground: Southborough Kindergroup is hosting a casual community playdate with refreshments. Parents/caregivers of 0-5 yr olds can learn more about what the group “has to offer”. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Closing Ceremony for Art on the Trails (3:00 – 5:00 pm) @ Beals Preserve: Closing Poetry Reading and Reception. Poets read work along the trail in response to art installations. For details, see dedicated post.

Monday, September 15, 2025

  • Walking Group for Seniors (8:30 am) @ Trottier Middle School’s outdoor track: Free weekly walking group organized by the Southborough Senior Center. Walkers generally go for an hour, but continue for as long as you wish. The location is a loop, so feel free to join late.
  • Preschool Story Time (10:30 – 11:15 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: Ages 2-5 are invited for stories and a craft based on a weekly theme. No registration required. For details, see related post.
  • Knitting Club & Quilting Club (1:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Weekly opportunity for senior crafters to work on their projects in a social setting, including knitting, sewing, cross stitching, needle point. For details, see related post.

  • ARHS Open House (6:00 – 8:30 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School: Parents of Algonquin students can hear from their teachers about what they will be studying this year/semester. Parents should have received a text/email with instructions for following Student Schedule with a 10 minute block for each class.

  • Virtual Author Talk (2:00 – 3:00 pm) @ online: Registration is required to take part in the free live talk with Q&A, “Our Failed Attempts to Make English Eezier to Spell with Author Gabe Henry”. This is part of the Southborough Library’s virtual series featuring bestselling, award-winning, and highly acclaimed authors from around the world. For details, see related post.
  • Crafternoon: Kaleidoscopes (4:30 – 5:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, main floor: Pre-registration is required for this free program for ages 8+. This session, make your own kaleidoscope using craft materials. For details, click here.
  • Southborough Rotary Club (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, main floor: Regular meeting of the Rotary Club of Southborough. New and prospective members are always welcome. (Held on the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month.)

  • Young Scientists STEM Beginnings (10:15 – 11:00 am) @ Southborough Library: The first session in the free 6-week series for children, ages 3-6 to learn STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) concepts through hands-on activities, story time and simple experiments.   • Trottier Early Release (10:50 am): Trottier Middle School has a half day to allow for Curriculum Night this evening.

  • Pollination Potluck Picnic (time) @ where: Join the Bumble Bee Project at their picnic, hosted by Southborough’s Open Space Preservation Commission in collaboration with the Southborough Open Land Foundation.   • Amanda Oakleaf Exhibit Closing Reception (11:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Southborough Library: Reception for the artist displaying oil paintings at the library through September. For details, see related post.
  • Sit & Knit (2:00 – 4:00 pm) @ Southborough Library: Semi-monthly program for ages 18+ to drop in and work on your latest knitting or crochet projects while you enjoy the company of fellow yarn crafters in a relaxed social setting. All levels are welcome but no formal instruction will be given.
