The Southborough Library is continuing its monthly volunteer session with teens and tweens interested in supporting good causes.
The Library’s TLT (Teen Leadership Team) programs allow young adults to get volunteer credit while helping to “make the world a happier place”. Most months volunteers complete a project that will be donated to nonprofit groups or shared with the community. (It’s usually a craft project.)
Participation doesn’t require a monthly commitment or pre-registration.
For the next event, volunteers will repeat a popular past program to make pet toys that will be donated to a local pet shelter.
No registration is required. Participating can be counted towards volunteer credit.
Interested volunteers can drop-in this Wednesday, September 24th, from 4:30 – 5:30 pm. The meeting will take place on the Library’s main floor.
Volunteers can also save the dates for the following sessions:
- Tuesday, October 14th (4:30 – 5:30 pm) — Tie-Dye T-shirts for the Pine Street Inn homeless shelter (Read more here)
- Wednesday, November 26th (12:00 – 1:00 pm) — Kindness Rocks to give out
