Southborough’s big annual community festival and parade takes place in less than two weeks, on Monday, October 13th.
A quick alert for those thinking about exhibiting at the event, or marching in the parade — the registration deadline for both activities is this Thursday, October 2nd.
Southborough Recreation’s registration page promotes:

The page doesn’t note a deadline, but Rec reached out to me and asked me to let readers know about the October 2nd cutoff.
For those not familiar with the event, it takes place annually on Columbus Day/Indigenous People’s Day.
In contrast to Summer Nights, the daytime event doesn’t have fireworks or a big concert, and it generally has far more exhibitors. Plus, it features Southborough’s biggest annual community parade, which ends near the field.
Marching groups are generally expected to begin organizing in the St. Anne’s Church Parking lot at 9:00 am and the parade kicks off at 10:00 am.
The event usually includes some entertainment on the field (like bouncy houses) and nearby activities by community groups. Special events I’ve been alerted to so far are the Friends of the Southborough Library’s Annual Book & Bake Sale and the Southborough Fire Department’s Open House.
Stay tuned for more details as the event gets closer.
