SPD Warning about area car break-ins & seeking ID of motorcycle driver

Over the past day, Southborough Police issued two, unrelated alerts. One warns residents to lock vehicles and secure items. The other seeks help IDing a person "in relation to" an incident last month.

This morning, the Southborough Police Department issued a public warning about a rash of vehicle break-ins in surrounding towns that should prompt residents to be more careful about their cars and valuables.

And yesterday evening, the SPD issued an unrelated request for help identifying the motorcycle operator in photos they posted.

The post seeking assistance explains:

The Southborough Police Department Detective Bureau is seeking to identify the pictured motorcycle operator in relation to a “Road rage” incident (involving property damage), that occurred on September 12, 2025.

If anyone can identify this individual, please reach out to the Southborough Police Department Detective Bureau at 508-485-2121 and request either Det. Anthony Vega (Ext. 7136) or Det. Owen O’Brien (Ext. 3051).

And this morning’s post warned:

Over the past 24 hours, there have been over 30 MV B&E’s in surrounding city and towns. Southborough residents- Please be vigilant in locking your doors (cars and homes). Please remember to remove all valuables from your cars. Please report any suspicious activity in your neighborhoods.
