Save the Date for Trunk or Treat — October 25th

The Firefighters and Recreation are teaming up again for another big Halloween celebration for families. And Rec is seeking candy donations to help support the fun.

The community is invited to take part in the 5th annual Trunk or Treat — the free Halloween festivities put on by the Southborough Firefighters Association and Southborough Recreation — on the Saturday before Halloween. Leading up to the event, Southborough Rec is seeking donations of candy to pass out.

On October 25th, costumed families are encouraged to gather outside of Woodward School (28 Cordaville Road). At 3:00 pm, they’ll march down the access road to SFA’s annual Halloween party in their station garage (at the Public Safety Building).

As usual, the firefighters will be giving out treats and judging winners of their costume contest. (Some families really get into this with themed family getups.)

Immediately following the party at the station, partygoers can head back over to the Woodward parking lot for the actual Trunk or Treat portion of the event.

There, Rec and other Town departments and local organizations will have car trunks/vehicles decorated like parade floats. Volunteers (some in costume) will pass out candy to the trick or treaters. Some groups go all out with booth areas, tents/buses, and even interactive fun.
