Southborough Recreation officially cancelled Heritage Day. But there is one, indoor, activity that will still take place.
The Southborough’ Library’s Sale will still go on, inside the library from 10:00 – 3:00 pm.
As for the cancelled, events. . .
Except for the pandemic in 2020, the Town has managed to put on the festivities every year at least going back to the inception of this blog in 2008, even in the rain.
But the potential Nor’Easter this afternoon through Tuesday morning comes with forecasts of gusting winds. That could make a field of tents dangerous. (And rain coming down at a steep angle would likely mean no one could stay dry under tents or umbrellas anyway.)
So, Rec was forced to make the call.
That, of course means that the Knights of Columbus Soccer Challenge is also cancelled. And, as I’ve already posted, the Southborough Fire Department will reschedule its open house, and the Pumpkin Stroll is off for tonight. (Though, an alternative event may be in the works for that one later this month, so stay tuned.)
