Halloween is just around the corner. And coming up even sooner is the Town’s pre-holiday celebrations. While door-to-door trick or treating is on the 31st in Southborough, the Town traditionally holds free parties for kids the prior Saturday.
I’ve already previewed the Trunk or Treat on the afternoon of October 25th. But the Southborough Library’s festivities begin even earlier, with a kids party at Fay School that morning.
For years now, the private school has hosted and co-sponsored the Library’s annual Halloween Party, complete with a costume parade and story time. The event is free to the public, with no registration required.
There is a change worth noting for this year. You may want to bring your wallet. Instead of offering free food, Fay has booked the Uhlman’s truck to sell scooped ice cream throughout the event.
Still, as usual, there is no charge to drop-in for Halloween themed games and crafts from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. And there are also special free events scheduled within the party that you may want to time your visit for:
- 10:15 Halloween story time with Ms. Kim from the Library
- 10:45 Costume Parade
- 11:15 Halloween Concert (Featuring children’s musician Lenka Zbruz)
Below are some cute parade pics that Fay shared on Instagram after the 2022 party:
