Southborough Recreation is trying something new this fall. The department has organized a series of after school programs that allow kids to sign up for just one afternoon of fun.
Most of the programs give kids a chance to try out programs that will be offered as a weekly program in a future session of “RAP”.
The classes are being offered mid-November to mid-December. Like the regular RAP series, most take place right after school, at the school.
Finn School:
These all take place at Finn with a 4:30 pickup time and fees from $20 – $25.

Woodward School:
Unless otherwise noted, pickup is at the school at 4:15 pm and the fees are $25.

The Actor’s Bootcamp program listed above is run by SkyRise Theater. That may interest Neary students considering signing up to be part of the school play this year,
This winter, the after school “Neary Drama Club” program run by SkyRise will put on Nemo Kids (based on the Pixar film Finding Nemo).
Rehearsals for the program will begin Wednesday, December 17th. They will mainly be held on Wednesday afternoons, with some additional special rehearsals leading up to the performances on Saturday, February 28th. (Registration for the program is $350.)
Prior to the program, SkyRise will also hold a free “Preview Day” on Monday, December 8th 3:00 – 4:00 pm. (No registration is required to attend that session.) Kids will learn about the program and get info to help them prepare to audition for a role. (Everyone who registers for the program will be given a part in the play. Auditions are just to help decide what roles they get.) The auditions (also free) will be held on Wednesday, December 10th from 3:00 – 5:00 pm.
