Given the rain and the cancelled Town events, turnout for The Friends of the Southborough Library’s Heritage Day Book Sale was pretty great. But it didn’t raise as much funds as our biggest annual fundraiser usually does.1
So, whether you missed the sale or have already made it through all/most of the books you bought that day, save the date to join us at a bonus sale this fall!
We’ve scheduled it for Saturday, November 8th.
We’re crossing our fingers that it will be nice enough to put on an outdoor sale. But, if it rains again, the show will go on indoors again.
As always, there will be a large selection of fiction and non-fiction hardcover and paperback books for adults, children, and young adults. Plus, you can find gently used CDs and DVDs. (See the price list below right.)
If you purchased a Friends’ tote in the past, be sure to bring it with you for a stuff-a-bag deal!
If outdoors, the event will be held in the Library parking lot. Otherwise it will be on the main floor, upstairs. Either way, it will run from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.
Proceeds from the Friends’ fundraisers are used to support Library resources and programs not covered by the regular budget. That includes most of the Library’s discount passes to museums and venues, many children’s programs throughout the year, and programs for adults and young adults.
Anyone who wants to volunteer to help us out for a shift sometime that day, please email friendsofsouthboroughlib@gmail.com. (Setup begins at 9:00 am and breakdown at 3:00 pm.)
