  • Live Music with DSP (8:00 – 11:00 pm) @ Owen O’Leary’s, 50 Turnpike Rd: Dane Street Project peforms folk, Americana, singer-songwriter classics and contemporary pop. For details, click here.

  • Scouting for Food: Collection drive for the Southborough Food Pantry. If you received a bag with a Scouting for Food flyer over Halloween weekend, leave the bag (or a bag clearly marked “Scouting for Food”) filled with donations by your mailbox by 9:00 am this morning. Volunteers will pick it up. Or, you can bring items to Pilgrim church between 9:00 am and noon (or make a financial donation). For details, see dedicated post.
  • November Bonus Book Sale (10:00 am – 3:00 pm) @ Southborough Library: Fundraising book sale for Friends of the Southborough Library. Bonus 1/2 price Stuff-A-Bag sale. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Walking Group for Seniors (8:30 am) @ Trottier Middle School’s outdoor track: Free weekly walking group organized by the Southborough Senior Center. Walkers generally go for an hour, but continue for as long as you wish. The location is a loop, so feel free to join late.
  • Preschool Story Time (10:30 – 11:15 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: Ages 2-5 are invited for stories and a craft based on a weekly theme. No registration required. For details, see related post.
  • Grief Support Group (11:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Southborough Library: The support group meetings for seniors ages 65+ are free, but space is limited, so pre-registration is required (with a deadline of today, November 7th). The biweekly series is cosponsored by Southborough Senior Center and Southborough Youth and Family Services. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Knitting Club & Quilting Club (1:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Weekly opportunity for senior crafters to work on their projects in a social setting, including knitting, sewing, cross stitching, needle point. For details, see related post.
  • Reading Buddies (3:30 – 4:30 pm) @ Southborough Library: Registration is required for this program (weekly Oct 20th through Dec 15th) that pairs readers in training (ages 5+) with teen reading buddy volunteers. For details, see dedicated post.

Veterans Day —Tuesday, November 11, 2025

  • Public Schools and Town offices and facilities are closed for the federal holiday.
  • Youth Rugby Clinic (9:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School: Clinic put on by the ARHS Boys & Girls Rugby team (coaches & players). Non-contact play for boys and girls in grade 3-8. $50/child or $100 family cap. The event is a fundraiser for the teams. For details, and to register, click here.
  • Veteran’s Day Observances (11:00 am) @ All Wars Memorial on the common across from the library: Veterans will lead the town’s Veteran’s Day Observances. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Geeks Who Drink Trivia Night (8:00 – 10:00 pm) @ Owen O’Leary’s, 50 Turnpike Rd: Weekly Trivia game night with prizes. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Walking Group for Seniors (8:30 am) @ Southborough cemetery, 11 Cordaville Road: Free weekly walking group organized by the Southborough Senior Center. Walkers generally go for an hour, but continue for as long as you wish. The location is a loop, so feel free to join late.
  • Elder Law Advice (10:00 – 10:45 am) @ phone or zoom: Southborough seniors can sign up for a free 15 minute session of individualized legal advice from an Elder Law attorney. For details, see related post.
  • Narcan Training (3:00 – 3:45 pm) @ Southborough Library: Register for free training to recognize and respond to opioid overdoses with a free kit. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Live Blues Jam n’ Open Mic (8:00 – 11:00 pm) @ Owen O’Leary’s, 50 Turnpike Rd: Come play or sing with the house band and fellow musical talent, or just enjoy the show. For details, see related post.

  • Southborough Gardeners’ November Guest Day (10:00 am) @ Pilgrim Church, 15 Common Street: The annual event includes a floral arranging demonstration from their expert speaker, refreshments, and raffles. Doors open at 9:00 am. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Mah Jongg (10:00 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: The weekly program would love new players to join. Feel free to stop by to watch or talk to one of the players to see if you would be interested. For details, contact the Senior Center at 508-229-4453.
  • Baby/Toddler Storytime (11:00 – 11:30 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: A weekly program for ages 0-2 years with their parents/caregivers. Each session will include puppets and music. No registration required. For details, see related post.
  • NSBORO K-5 Early Release (Early Dismissal times by schools are Trottier at 10:50 am, Neary at 11:50 am, Woodward at 12:05 pm, and Finn K-1 at 12:20 pm and Pre-K at 11:00 am) Southborough’s public elementary and middle schools will have a half day this Thursday and Friday to allow for Parent/Teacher conferences.
  • Dungeons & Dragons (3:00 – 6:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Meeting Room: Registration is required for this D&D event for ages 10-14 led by a Dungeon Master. For details, see related post.
  • Boros Unified Ballers (6:30 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School: 2nd annual game of Algonquin’s Unified Basketball team vs Northborough Police & Fire. Doors open at 6:00 pm. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Rita Chad Memorial Dedication (11:30 am – 1:30 pm) @ Southborough Library: The periodicals area is now dedicated to Rita’s memory, and her family and friends will be gathering to remember her and share stories. For details, click here.
  • Sit & Knit (2:00 – 4:00 pm) @ Southborough Library: Semi-monthly program for ages 18+ to drop in and work on your latest knitting or crochet projects while you enjoy the company of fellow yarn crafters in a relaxed social setting. All levels are welcome but no formal instruction will be given.
  • Teen Board Games (2:00 – 4:00 pm) @ Southborough Eaton Meeting Room: Teens are invited to play some board games for International Games Month! For details, click here.
  • Community Hymn Sing (5:00 pm) @ St Mark’s Episcopal Church, 27 Main St: An informal gathering where people come together to sing their favorite hymns, without worrying about liturgical constraints. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Assabet Valley Mastersingers Concert (3:30 pm) @ Pilgrim Church, 15 Common St: The regional choral group’s concert, themed “Spirit of the Heart”,  features Beethoven’s Mass in C and Maurice Durufle’s Requiem in D. For details, see dedicated post.
