I have another event to promote for Southborough’s jam packed first weekend in December.
As usual, St. Mark’s Episcopal Church will hold its annual Christmas Bazaar that first Saturday. (The upcoming opportunity to shop for Christmas bargains is something you might want to keep in mind when you’re deciding what to buy on Black Friday.)
The church invites the public to join them for their annual signature fundraising event. The Christmas Bazaar will feature holiday treats for sale at the Bake Shop and gifts for the holidays. Admission is always free.
It’s also an easy place to grab lunch or a snack while you’re running around that day.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit their Youth Group’s Annual Mission Trip.
The event will run from from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Parish Hall at 27 Main Street.
[Reminder: Since Santa Day has shifted to the Sunday morning, December 7th, these event wont overlap this year. That may make it easier to get to both events this year.]
In the main room, you can shop at the Craft Table and take part in the popular Basket Raffle, 50/50 Raffle, and Silent Auction. There is also entertainment for the kids.
Attendees are also encouraged to head upstairs to explore the “treasures” on sale in the White Elephant room, Jewelry room, and Toy room.
Back in the main room, volunteer cooks will be selling luncheon fare through the Kitchen Café window from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.
Below are photos I took at a past Bazaar:
And don’t forget to head around to the parish hall’s back entrance, where you can do actual bargain basement shopping in the St. Mark’s Bargain Box, their “quality consignment clothing shop”. The Bazaar marks the day of its annual end of the season Rummage Sale — $5 per bag. (Read more about the store here.)
