Every year, the Girl Scouts host a traditional holiday sing-along. You don’t have to be a Girl Scout family to join them. Anyone with children is welcome to come sing.
Part of the celebration is lighting up the Community House for the season in time for “Santa Day”. With that coming up this Sunday, the sing-along falls on this Friday, December 5th.
The Girl Scouts will celebrate on the Community House lawn from 6:00 -7:00 pm. (That’s 30 minutes earlier than usual, to make things easier for the youngest scouts.) There will also be hot cocoa and treats to cap off the evening.
The event is free, but participants are encouraged (though not required) to bring unwrapped toys to donate to Project Just Because. (Read more about that drive here.)
The event takes place even in rain or snow (unless conditions are unsafe).
I’m keeping fingers crossed that the weather cooperates this year to kick of holiday festivities without any needed postponements! If anything changes, I’ll let readers know.
