Register your holiday lights/outdoor decor for contest & community map

Rec is holding a House Decorating contest and asking community to provide info for a map of "festive houses" worth driving by

Above: Some residents go big on lights & decor in their yards each year, and Rec knows that the community is also interested in checking them out. (images of flyer, last year’s map, and 2024 photos by Beth Melo)

Southborough Recreation is encouraging the public to register for its Second Annual House Decorating Contest.

Rec is encouraging everyone who put up a festive display worth driving by to register — even those who didn’t go all out. (Though, they hope more people will!)

The department plans to again use the info to create a map for the community to use when they drive around to enjoy decorative displays.

They hope it will make it easier for residents to figure out what streets/areas they can drive around and enjoy.

Rec’s registration page explains:

Is your house decorated for the holidays?

Enter your home in our 2nd Annual Holiday Decorating Contest.

Get creative, get outside, and get the WHOLE family involved.
Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 winners (along with bragging rights).

Homes will be judged on creativity, use of décor, and overall appearance.

All addresses will be made public so residents can view your displays!

A map will be released leading up to the voting. . .

Participating homes must be registered by the deadline of Monday, December 15th

To register, click here. To check out last year’s winners, click here. (And yes, last year’s big “Social Media Winner” has put up their big tunnel of lights again this year!)
