Reminder: The 2025 Southborough Resident “Satisfaction” survey is due Wed

The Town is seeking important feedback from residents by December 31st. Input could impact decisions made for Town budgets, and Articles brought to Town Meeting voters.

Reminder: this Wednesday, December 31st, is the deadline for responding to the Town’s annual 2025 Survey. Feedback officials are seeking is needed as they hash out the budgets and Articles they’ll ask voters to approve at the Annual Town Meeting. Plus, it asks for input on improving bureaucratic processes.

Each year, the Town asks residents to answer questions about quality of life, departments and resources, and priorities for what you would like to see officials focus on.

This year, the survey asks for input on improving bureaucratic processes. Plus, it includes a section to get feedback on an issue that sparked debate at this Fall’s Special Town Meeting — possible restructuring of how the town is governed.1

After confirming they are residents, participants will see the following survey introduction:

This survey has been put together by various town departments to collect your feedback to improve the town. Thank you for your willingness to provide honest and actionable feedback! Your answers will be shared publicly, in anonymous form, and will be provided to the Select Board and other town departments/boards to help guide improvements.

As it did last year, the survey gives residents’ ability to save time by selecting topics which they wish to skip over. The survey also includes the ability to use fill-in fields to provide specific feedback on departments/topics.

(Those choices are presented on page 2, after participants answer 8 questions.)

That said, the survey isn’t a quick one. Officials hope that residents will set aside a  little time each year to provide important feedback on Town departments and leadership.

You can open the survey directly, here.

  1. Editor’s Note: For full disclosure, upon request, I provided feedback on a draft version of the survey before it was publicly issued.
