A week from Saturday, the Southborough Library is hosting a family-friendly wildlife presentation for most ages. (It’s promoted as for ages “8 – 108”.)

The event, “Wildlife Out Your Window”, will feature a wildlife ecologist who authored a book series by the same name.

Wildlife out your window flyerOne of author Brad Timm’s book is subtitled “Fascinating Facts About 100 Animals Commonly Seen in the Northeastern U.S.”. During the 1 hour presentation, he’s unlikely to cover all of those animals, but he’s sure to focus on animals native to our backyards and woods.

The Library’s event page promotes:

Did you know that Blue Jay feathers aren’t actually blue, or that some foxes can climb trees? Brad, a wildlife ecologist and the Founder and Executive Director of the Northeast Wildlife Team, will share some of his favorite interesting facts from the book, discuss simple actions each of us can take to help wildlife around us, answer your wildlife questions, and much more!

The talk will be held on the Library’s main floor on Saturday, January 10th from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. The program is sponsored by the Friends of the Southborough Library.

Timm will also sign copies of his book at the event.
