NSBORO School Attendance Parent Workshop — Jan 28

Register by Monday to attend NSBORO's in-person only, morning workshop in Northborough next Wednesday.

A week from today, parents and caregivers of Northborough-Southborough Public Schools students are invited to participate in a special workshop. The focus appears to be helping to improve students’ school attendance.

In a Parent Square announcement, the Director of Student Support Services posted about the “School Attendance Parent Workshop”.

The announcement promotes an event to be run by Family Success Partnership, which appears to be associated with the Assabet Valley Collaborative.

While AVC and Student Support Services are known for focusing on students with special needs, the opportunity and topic does not appear to be limited to just those families.

The in-person only event is scheduled for Wednesday, January 28th from 9:30 – 11:00 am.1 It will be held at Northborough Public Library (34 Main St) in their Community Room. The registration deadline is Monday, January 26th.

Here are the rest of the details from the announcement:

Join Family Success Partnership (FSP) for a district-wide parent workshop focused on empowering families and strengthening students’ connection to school. This will include practical strategies, communication tools, and community resources to help students develop consistent and confident school attendance. We’ll explore supportive approaches and collaborate on ways to help every student feel engaged and ready to attend. All parents and caregivers are welcome!

The Family Success Partnership (FSP) is a school-based wraparound program that collaborates with districts to connect their students and families with a range of essential services, both during and outside the school day. FSP clinicians support families in overcoming systemic barriers and access to services through clinical assessment, direct referral support, application assistance, therapeutic intervention, and parent psychoeducation that lead to family empowerment, student success and access to sustainable resources in their community.
