- “Small Things” Art Reception (6:30 – 9:00 pm) @ Apothecary Artists, 11 Main Street: The Solo Painting Exhibition event will feature paintings by Southborough native Kassandra Hostage. - St. Mark’s Messy Church (4:00 – 6:00 pm) @ St Mark’s Episcopal Church Parish Hall, 27 Main St: (Postponed from January 25th.) A worship experience for busy families of younger kids. Includes a Bible story theme with activities, crafts, and a shared meal. For details, see related post.
Monday, February 2, 2026
- Walking Group for Seniors (8:30 am) @ Trottier Middle School’s outdoor track: Free weekly walking group organized by the Southborough Senior Center. Walkers generally go for an hour, but continue for as long as you wish. The location is a loop, so feel free to join late.
- Preschool Story Time (10:30 – 11:15 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: Ages 2-5 are invited for stories and a craft based on a weekly theme. No registration required. For details, see related post.
- AVRTHS Half Day (12:00 pm): Professional Development ½ day for Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School
- Knitting Club & Quilting Club (1:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Weekly opportunity for senior crafters to work on their projects in a social setting, including knitting, sewing, cross stitching, needle point.
- Free Throw Championship (6:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Trottier Middle School Gym: The Knights of Columbus will be holding their annual free-throw competition for 9-14 year-old boys and girls with potential advancement to regional and state competitions. For details, see dedicated post.

- Preschool Story Time (10:30 – 11:15 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: Ages 2-5 are invited for stories and a craft based on a weekly theme. No registration required. For details, see related post.
- Bridge (12:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: A weekly card group, welcoming new participants. For details, contact the Senior Center at 508-229-4453.
- Drop in Legos (3:30 – 5:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Meeting Room: Children are invited to build with Legos and display their creations in the Children’s Room. Legos will be provided. Parents or caregivers must stay with children.
- NSBORO Reads (5:30 – 7:30 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School, 79 Bartlett St, Northborough: Free celebration for NSBORO families put on by the school librarians to celebrate the community’s love of reading. For details, see dedicated post.

- Story Time with Glory (10:30 – 11:30 am) @ Southborough Library: Preschoolers are invited to listen to some doggie stories and hang out with one of the library’s favorite therapy dogs, Glory! No registration required.
- TrailBlazers meeting (3:00 – 4:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: The group for active seniors holds a monthly meeting to plan upcoming activities. Any seniors interested in helping or learning more are welcome to join them. For more details, see related post.
- Meditations for the Nations (4:30 – 5:00 pm) @ St. Mark’s Church Parish Hall, 27 Main St: The church invites community members troubled by “division, unrest, and fear in our country” to share concerns with others and take part in guided and silent meditation. - Crafternoon: Valentine’s Day Sachets (4:30 – 5:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, main floor: Pre-registration is required for this free program for ages 8–12 years old. This session, sew up cute, scented sachets that can also serve as a hot/cold pack. For details, see related post.
- Southborough Rotary Club (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, main floor: Regular meeting of the Rotary Club of Southborough. New and prospective members are always welcome. (Held on the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month.)
- Friends of the Library Meeting (7:30 – 8:45 pm) @ zoom: Monthly meeting of board members and volunteers to discuss funding library requests and planning for upcoming fundraisers. - TLT: Bracelets (4:30 – 5:30 pm) @ Southborough Library Main Floor: The library holds a monthly Teen Library Team volunteer program for ages 10-18 to make projects for others in need. This month volunteers will make beaded bracelets for friends over at the New England Center for Children to receive before Valentine’s Day! For details, see related post.
- Virtual Author Talk (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ online: Registration is required to take part in the free live talk with Q&A, “Swashbuckling Heroines and High Seas Adventures with Novelist Vanessa Riley”.
