Maryann T. Lamy passed away on February 5, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. She was 83 years old. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Ann (Carey) Baker and step-daughter of the late Rietha Baker. She was predeceased by her brothers William Baker and Fred Baker Jr.
Maryann was the beloved wife of Arthur Lamy for 61 years. Maryann and Art met in 7th grade and were inseparable ever since.
Maryann lived in Southborough for most of her life. She had her first job at the Southborough News Shop (now Mauro’s Village Café) and was a parishioner at St. Anne Church for many years. She and Art married there in 1964.
Maryann’s kind and compassionate nature led to a career as a registered nurse. After graduating from St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing, she worked part- time at Sudbury Pediatrics when her children were young, ending her career at Marlborough Middle School, retiring in 2008. Many friendships were made in nursing school and during her career and those friendships continued throughout her life.
Maryann’s greatest love was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her grandchildren will always remember the wonderful times and sleepovers at Grammy and Buppy’s.
She leaves her husband Art, her daughter Kathy Zontini and her husband Dick of Ashland, her son Kevin Lamy and his wife Robin of Northborough and her daughter Julieann Lamy and her wife Kelly Santimaw of Lunenburg. She was the loving Grammy of Keith Zontini of Ashland, Rachel (Lamy) Cashman and her husband Jesse of Rutland, Renee Lamy and her fiance Chris Landry of Rutland and Olivia “Livie” Lamy of Northborough. Maryann was so happy to become a great- grandmother when Colton Cashman was born in 2025.
To have known Maryann was to have loved her, and we will love her forever.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
