Save the Date for the Troop 1 Pancake Breakfast — March 15th

And look for Scouts to buy tickets from!

Members of Southborough BSA Troop 1 are braving the cold over the next few weeks to sell tickets to their upcoming Pancake Breakfast.

The community breakfast is Troop 1’s primary annual fundraiser. Proceeds from the event support the Boy Scouts’ activities like camping, hiking, and community service projects.

On Sunday, March 15th, they’ll be flipping and serving pancakes. That takes place in the Neary School Cafeteria (53 Parkerville Road) from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm.

Pancake Breakfast (by Beth Melo)Scouts will be serving up the usual assortment of meats and beverages.

Pancake Breakfast (by Beth Melo)Pancakes can be topped with traditional pancake syrup. Or you can hit the toppings bar. (Years ago, my kids’ loaded up plates tended to look more like make your own sundaes than a breakfast!)

Tickets cost $7 for adults or $4 for seniors and kids ages 6-12. Children 5 and under eat for free and there’s a maximum cost of $20 per household.

Scouts are going door-to-door this month selling the tickets. You can also find them this weekend and next. They’ll be outside the Southborough Dunkin’ this Sunday, March 1st (and again on the 8th) from  8:00 am – 2:00 pm, and at the Transfer Station on Saturday, March 7th from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

If you don’t get the opportunity to buy directly from a troop member, you can still buy tickets at the event or pay by Venmo to @BSATroop1Sobo — but please note Pancakes in the memo. (And, if you are using Venmo to buy from a scout, please also include their name).

And, if you aren’t into pancakes, you can also always make a donation to the troop instead!
