The Blood Mobile will be back in town next week.
The community is asked to plan to make a life giving donation at the travelling blood donation center that serves Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
As usual, the bloodmobile will be parked in the Southborough Library’s parking lot at 25 Main Street.
There is only one time slot currently showing (at 1:00 pm) on Thursday, March 19th. But the organizer tells me that there are usually some last minute cancellations. So you can plan to check a few days out. Plus, they’ll allow some walk-ins during the noon to 6:30 pm event.
To register for a slot, click here.
As an incentive/reward, those who successfully donate will receive a $15 gift card. (You can choose between Target and Amazon.)
To donate, you must be over 17 years old, at least 110lbs., and “in good health and feeling well”, and bring a Photo ID. (Participants are also encouraged to “Be well hydrated and eat before donating”.)
If you have other concerns about specific eligibility issues, please email BloodDonor@partners.org or call 617-632-3206.
Thanks again to organizer Karen Anglim, who has been arranging for the Blood Mobile to make multiple visits each year for the past few years. Save the dates for more drives scheduled for Thursdays in 2026: May 21st, July 30th, October 8th, and December 17th.
