The Southborough Library is hosting an intergenerational “Crafting Connections” event a week from Saturday. Registration is open for Teens in grades 6–12.
Middle and high schoolers are invited to join local seniors in painting plant pots.
(Since the library’s Seed Exchange program is open for the season, you could also grab some seeds to plant in the pot while you’re there.)
The event is scheduled for Saturday, March 21st from 10:30 – 11:30 am.
My update on the Southborough Senior Center’s programs last week also included news about the craft program. As I noted in that story, seniors interested in the free event are encouraged to sign up through the Senior Center. (Since registration opened last Friday, the event might already be full for that age group.)
This week, I’m highlighting the opportunity for teens to sign up. Participants can earn volunteer credit while enjoying a social crafting event.
Registration for the younger generation is through the library’s event page here.
