You don’t need to be a family with students in NSBORO Schools to participate in “Culture Fest” this spring.
The May 1st event is meant to explore diverse cultures in the Northborough and Southborough communities. It is essentially a reboot of the district’s annual Culture & Music Festival.
This year, performances will take place in a smaller venue (Algonquin’s Black Box theater). There will also be “Interactive Booths”.
The district is asking the community to save the date to attend. But they are also promoting the opportunity for cultural groups and students to sign up to perform. (The sign up page includes an important note for performers. The stage will be carpeted.)
Exhibitors are also welcome to register for a booth. Registration for performers and exhibitors is here.
Organizers are also seeking volunteers to help before, during, and/or after the event. That registration page is here.
If you’re just interested in attending, mark your calendars for Friday, May 1st, 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Algonquin Regional High School (79 Bartlett St, Northborough).
In addition to performers and booths, the event includes art displays.
The annual Culture & Music Festival was first launched in 2022 by the Northborough – Southborough Coalition for Equity. This will be the 5th annual community celebration. Two years ago, an intern for this blog covered the festival, with photo highlights. You can check her story out here.
