Stand Up Now invites participation in No Kings March

Poster Making event is tonight, March 23rd

The Southborough based group protesting “anti-democratic action and extremist rhetoric” is inviting the community to join their efforts this week.

Tonight, “Stand Up Now!” organizers are hosting a poster-making event.

The signs will be needed when they join a No Kings rally in Boston this Saturday.

The Boston rally is one of many organized locally as part of an internationally promoted protest movement. (Scroll down for more on the movement and the rally.)

As I’ve previously posted, the “Stand Up Now!” group was formed by Southborough residents to hold regular public demonstrations in Southborough and work to spread their “pro-democracy” message.

The group has also participated in other regional events hosted by groups with similar missions.

This Saturday, March 28th, SUN members plan to travel to the NO KINGS Boston rally on the Boston Common. They are inviting the community to join them and to help prepare:

In America, we have No Kings.
We are showing up together again on March 28.

When our families are under attack and costs are pushing people to the brink, silence is not an option. We will defend ourselves and our communities against this administration’s unjust and cruel acts of violence. America does not belong to strongmen, greedy billionaires, or those who rule through fear. It belongs to us, the people. . .

As President Trump escalates his attempts to control us, it is on us, the people, to show that we will fight to protect one another and our country. If he believes we will roll over and allow him to take our freedoms, he is mistaken. We are coming together again on March 28 because we know we can overcome this repression when we unite.

The No Kings website shows rallies organized in Marlborough, Hopkinton, Ashland, and Framingham. Times vary with events in the morning and afternoon. You can find details using the interactive map here.
