What’s on tap this week in Algonquin Regional High School varsity sports.

But “Day 1” only referred to practices. Actual competitions start kicking off later this week and next.
In the meantime, some teams are in scrimmages. Boys Lacrosse hosted Bishop Hendricken for a scrimmage. A few more teams have pre-season games scheduled.
But the real action kicks off on Thursday, with Girls Lacrosse’s and Boys Volleyball’s season openers. Boys Lacrosse follows this Saturday.
Season openers for Baseball, Softball, Rugby, Tennis, and Girls Golf are next week. Outdoor Track competitions don’t get going for another 2½ weeks.
