“Seed Art & Mosaics” and the return of the Youth Nature Club

This season's first meeting of the "club" of 6th - 12th grade volunteers interested in exploring nature will feature a creative craft.

The Southborough Library is launching its third season of the “Youth Nature Club”. They are inviting middle and high schoolers to join them bi-weekly this spring and summer.

To encourage participation, they’re featuring an art project as part of the first meeting next week. Unlike most of the club’s meetings, the special event requires pre-registration.

Volunteers don’t need to commit to attending the club’s regular meetings to take part in special event or other upcoming activities. And most of the subsequent club meetings won’t require pre-registering.

Attendance for next week’s event and future meetings can count toward volunteer credits.

Seed & Art Mosaics

Seed Art flyerKids in grades 6+ are invited to the special event on Thursday, April 2nd, 4:30 – 5:30 pm:

Join us for a discussion on the life cycle of a plant, then make some seed art to take home! We will begin with a short lesson on the life cycle of a plant, including the importance of seeds. Then make a mosaic or any other art form you would like with beautiful seeds! Be creative while you learn about this important part of a plant’s life.

This free event is made possible by funding from the Friends of the Southborough Library. Registration for this event is limited. Sign up here.
