  • Nurture & Network with Friends of SYC (5:00 – 7:00 pm) @ Theracopia Therapeutic Wellness Center, 5 Crystal Pond Rd: Join Friends of the Southborough Youth Commission (FSYC) for a free Open House to learn about volunteering.   • Live Music with Matt Zajac (8:00 pm) @ Owen O’Leary’s, 50 Turnpike Rd: The singer from Garden of Heden will perform solo. For details, click here.

  • ARHS NHS Easter Egg Hunt (9:00 – 11:00am) @ Algonquin Regional High School, 79 Bartlett St, football field: Algonquin’s National Honor Society welcomes Northborough and Southborough Families with young children (up to 5th grade) to its annual Egg hunt.   • Free T-Ball Clinic (9:00 – 10:30 am) @ Finn School gym, 60 Richards Rd: Algonquin Baseball and Softball Associaton’s Coaches & Majors players will run this free clinic for 4-5 year olds. Kids will learn T-Ball skills while having fun. Sign up is open to any registered or prospective T-Ball players. For details, click here.
  • SaaRangaa Cultural Show (3:30 – 5:30 pm) @ Trottier Middle School, 49 Parkerville Rd: Performances, music, and dance that celebrate rich Sri Lankan traditions. There is a fee. For details, see dedicated post.

  • FuelFusion.Nutrition Grand Opening (12:00 – 6:00 pm) @ 155 Boston Rd, Suite #3: The new business selling healthy shakes & teas is promoting its Grand Opening. For details, click here.
  • Southborough Salon Series: Wind Serenade (2:00 – 4:00pm) @ Southborough History & Arts Center, 42 Central St: Southborough History & Arts Center is launching a chamber music series with the Claflin Hill Symphony Orchestra. This concert features “Mozart’s Grand Partita and Dvorak’s Serenade”. There is a fee and pre-registration is required. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Interboro Community Band Concert (2:00 pm) @ Westboro High, 90 W. Main St, Westborough: A free performance by the regional instrumental band that includes Southborough residents. The theme is Forces of Nature. For details, see dedicated post.

  • Walking Group for Seniors (8:30 am) @ Trottier Middle School’s outdoor track: Free weekly walking group organized by the Southborough Senior Center. (Dependent on weather conditions.) Walkers generally go for an hour, but continue for as long as you wish. The location is a loop, so feel free to join late.
  • Preschool Story Time (10:30 – 11:15 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: Ages 2-5 are invited for stories and a craft based on a weekly theme. No registration required. For details, see related post.
  • Knitting Club & Quilting Club (1:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Weekly opportunity for senior crafters to work on their projects in a social setting, including knitting, sewing, cross stitching, needle point.

  • Walking Group for Seniors (8:30 am) @ Southborough cemetery, 11 Cordaville Road: Free weekly walking group organized by the Southborough Senior Center. (Dependent on weather conditions.) Walkers generally go for an hour, but continue for as long as you wish. The location is a loop, so feel free to join late.
  • TrailBlazers meeting (3:00 – 4:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: The group for active seniors holds a monthly meeting to plan upcoming activities. Any seniors interested in helping or learning more are welcome to join them. For more details, see related post.
  • Meditations for the Nations (4:30 – 5:00 pm) @ St. Mark’s Church Parish Hall, 27 Main St: The church invites community members troubled by “division, unrest, and fear in our country” to share concerns with others and take part in guided and silent meditation.   • Trottier Incoming 6th Grade Parent Orientation (6:00 pm) @ Trottier Middle School: Orientation in the auditorium, followed by 7:00 pm tours of the school.
  • Southborough Rotary Club (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, main floor: Regular meeting of the Rotary Club of Southborough. New and prospective members are always welcome. (Held on the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month.)
  • Friends of the Library Meeting (7:30 – 8:45 pm) @ zoom: Monthly meeting of board members and volunteers to discuss funding library requests and planning for upcoming fundraisers.   • Baby/Toddler Storytime (11:00 – 11:30 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: A weekly program for ages 0-2 years with their parents/caregivers. Each session will include puppets and music. No registration required. For details, see related post.
  • Seed Art & Mosaics (4:30 – 5:30 pm) @ Southborough Library: Grades 6+ can sign up to learn about plant life cycles and use seeds to make art. (This is the first meet up of the Youth Nature Club this spring.) For details, see dedicated post.
  • Virtual Book Club (7:30 – 8:30 pm) @ zoom: The Southborough Library hosts this monthly online chat for book lovers. Participants discuss the selected monthly book title along with their own personal recommendations. This meeting is part of the One Book, One Borough initiative. For details, click here.

  • No NSBORO School: Northborough-Southborough Public Schools have no school today (to allow students and staff to observe the religious holiday Good Friday).
  • Wizards (10:00 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: New weekly drop-in social club for senior men. This one is geared for men interested in discussing topics related to science and tech. For details, see related post.
  • Dull Men’s Club (10:00 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: Casual social club for senior men. New members are always welcome to drop in. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Canasta (11:15 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: A weekly card group playing “Hand & Foot”. For details, contact the Senior Center at 508-229-4453.

  • Sustainable Gardening (11:00am – 12:00pm) @ Southborough Library: No registration is required for this workshop run by Blackstone Valley Veggie Gardens and sponsored by The Friends of the Southborough Library. Attendees will learn how to garden sustainably. This program is part of the One Book, One Borough initiative. For details, see dedicated post.
  • Sit & Knit (2:00 – 4:00 pm) @ Southborough Library: Semi-monthly program for ages 18+ to drop in and work on your latest knitting or crochet projects while you enjoy the company of fellow yarn crafters in a relaxed social setting. All levels are welcome but no formal instruction will be given.
