- Harlem Wizards (7:00 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School: This fundraiser for Northborough K-8 Schools’ PTOs will pit the Boroughs Breakers (a team of Northborough educators) against the world-famous Wizards (the professional traveling team that entertains with flashy basketball tricks). - Live Music with Getaway (8:00 – 11:00 pm) @ Owen O’Leary’s, 50 Turnpike Rd: The cover band will perform Classic Rock/Dance tunes from the 70s-90s. For details, click here.

- Annual Town Meeting (10:00 am) @ Trottier Middle School, 49 Parkerville Rd: Southborough voters act as town legislature to appropriate money to fund the Town’s expenses and act on other issues such as zoning bylaws. (There won’t be a break for lunch, but pizza will be sold in the cafeteria.) For details, see my overview here.
- Kids’ Financial Literacy Power Hour (1:00 – 2:00 pm) @ Mathnasium, 154 Turnpike Rd Ste 160: Mathnasium is offering to bring financial literacy to life with an interactive event designed for students in grades 2–6. Kids will rotate through hands-on stations. The event includes prizes and snacks.. For details, click here.
- Slow Art Day (3:00 – 4:00 pm) @ Southborough History & Arts Center, Long Gallery, 42 Central St: On international Slow Art Day, SHAC invites the public to take an hour to look at and discuss the current art exhibit. For details, see related post.
- Live Music with 3 of a Kind (8:00 – 11:00 pm) @ Owen O’Leary’s, 50 Turnpike Rd: The band will perform classic rock. For details, click here.

- Kickin’ it for Kasey (11:00am – 4:00pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School, 79 Bartlett St, Northborough: Algonquin’s Student Council is putting on this fundraiser to support the fight against pediatric brain cancer. Admission is $5 each. The family-friendly festival will include mini golf, lawn games, soccer, raffles, and food trucks. For details, see dedicated post.
- Wellness Vendor Fair (12:00 – 4:00 pm) @ Apothecary Artists, 11 Main St: The studio will host a shopping fair with local wellness vendors. For details, see dedicated post.
- Gospel Concert (3:00 pm) @ Pilgrim Church, 15 Common St: The special concert features guest gospel choir Joyful Voices of Inspiration. The concert is free, but with a suggested donation of $10. Refreshments will be served after the concert. For details, see dedicated post.
- Assabet Valley Chambersingers Spring Concert (3:30 pm) @ The small ensemble from the Assabet Valley Mastersingers is holding a concert titled “Sing into Spring”. The short works include classics and compositions by today’s young composers, ranging from Renaissance madrigals to vocal jazz. Admission to the concert is “pay what you wish”. - Cutler Jazz Festival (6:30 pm) @ St. Mark’s School, Putnum Family Arts Center: St. Mark’s students and faculty will be joined at their annual jazz festival by an alum singer/songwriter, plus jazz players from Algonquin and Trottier. - NSBORO Schools’ Wellness Week kicks off: Students, families, and community are invited to take part in special events and challenges today through Friday, to improve their overall wellness. For details, see dedicated post.
- Sunrise Wake Up and Walk (6:30 am) @ Algonquin Regional High School’s outdoor track: All week, the Northborough-Southborough community is invited. For details, see related post.
- Walking Group for Seniors (8:30 am) @ Trottier Middle School’s outdoor track: Free weekly walking group organized by the Southborough Senior Center. (Dependent on weather conditions.) Walkers generally go for an hour, but continue for as long as you wish. The location is a loop, so feel free to join late.
- Preschool Story Time (10:30 – 11:15 am) @ Southborough Library Children’s Room: Ages 2-5 are invited for stories and a craft based on a weekly theme. No registration required. For details, see related post.
- Rummikub (11:00 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: Drop-in to the game group for seniors, meeting the 2nd, 3rd & 4th Monday of each month.
- Knitting Club & Quilting Club (1:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Weekly opportunity for senior crafters to work on their projects in a social setting, including knitting, sewing, cross stitching, needle point.

- Bridge (12:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: A weekly card group, welcoming new participants. For details, contact the Senior Center at 508-229-4453.
- TLT: The Value of Trees (4:30 – 5:30 pm) @ Southborough Library Main Floor: The library holds a monthly Teen Library Team volunteer program. This session for 6th-8th graders, learn about trees and their worth, and “adopt” a local tree. Registration is required see related post.
- Virtual Cooking (5:30 – 7:30 pm) @ zoom: Part of the Southborough Library’s free virtual cooking lesson series with Ploy. This month make Moroccan Pastilla. Pre-registration is required. For details, see related post.
- Yoga on the Common (6:00 pm) @ Northborough Town Common, by the Gazebo: This free event is for the Northborough-Southborough community, as part of NSBORO Schools’ Wellness Week. - Select Board Office Hours (6:00 – 7:00 pm) @ Town House Hearing Room, 17 Common St: Residents are invited to drop in to informally speak with two Board members about any questions, concerns or interests. This session will be hosted by members Kathy Cook and Al Hamilton.
- Poetry Workshop (6:30 – 8:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, main level: Bring in five copies of original poetry to share. The group will provide supportive feedback. If you don’t have a poem, come anyway and share your insights. (Meets twice monthly.)

- Story Time with Glory (10:30 – 11:30 am) @ Southborough Library: Preschoolers are invited to listen to some doggie stories and hang out with one of the library’s favorite therapy dogs, Glory! No registration required.
- Nature Story Time (1:30 – 2:15 pm) @ Southborough Library, Children’s Room: This free program for 2-5 year olds requires pre-registration. - Meditations for the Nations (4:30 – 5:00 pm) @ St. Mark’s Church Parish Hall, 27 Main St: The church invites community members troubled by “division, unrest, and fear in our country” to share concerns with others and take part in guided and silent meditation. Monday, April 19, 2026, Patriot’s Day
- Town Closures: Town offices, Southborough Library, and the Senior Center are closed for the state holiday. This is also the first day of the public schools’ weeklong spring break.
