Volunteers for First Community Church of Southborough will be busy in the kitchen this week — saving you time on your Thanksgiving prep next week!
This Saturday is the church’s 35th annual Pie Sale. (Though, despite the name, there are a few other desserts/breads on their list.) Instead of at their church, the sale is held downtown on Main Street.
As a fundraiser, members of the congregation traditionally sell their baked pies/desserts the Saturday before Thanksgiving. They begin around 8:00 am and stop when they sell out (or by 11:00 am).
On November 22nd, they’ll be at their usual perch — outside of Mauro’s Village Cafe (2 Main Street).
This year, they plan to sell “apple pies, apple crisps, lemon meringues, pecan pies, cherry pie, pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, blueberry bread and more!”
