Recapping Special Town Meeting on the Neary Building Project

On Saturday morning, 1,178 voters checked into the just over 3 hour Special Town Meeting on the proposed new Neary School building project. They represented about 15.6% of Southborough’s registered voters.

Neary Building Project fails to pass at Special Town Meeting; There’s still a ballot question on Tuesday (Updated)

I will post more details in the future, but the quick update is — the meeting took over three hours and ended without the required supermajority vote of support.

Select Board incumbents and challenger made their final pitches at Candidates Night

On Thursday Night, at a lightly attended forum, three candidates answered questions and made their cases for why voters should choose them to serve on the Select Board. Two of the candidates focused on why they should be re-elected to continue the work they’ve begun. A third pitched the need for a change.
